Weeklong Photography Seminar Digs Deeply Into Yellowstone National Park
A Workshop at Yellowstone Oct. 2-8, 2006.

Concessioner Xanterra Parks & Resorts has teamed up with Diane Kelsay and Bob Harvey of Nature Photography Adventures to offer "Images of Autumn: Photographing Yellowstone in the Fall." Participants will learn techniques and tips for photographing the park's wildlife, plant life and thermal features.

This photographic workshop will be held Oct. 2-8, 2006 and features four nights at the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and two nights at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge. The package also includes six breakfasts, five deli sack lunches, a welcome gift, in-park transportation and the leadership of Kelsay and Harvey.

Rates per person, not including tax, are $1,839 for single occupancy and $1,475 for double occupancy. The group size will range from six to 14.

Participants are expected to bring their own equipment and may use either digital or film cameras. A variety of lenses and a tripod are suggested as well.

Yellowstone's transition as winter approaches will be emphasized. The scenery becomes more colorful as the trees and plants change to reds, oranges and yellows while the cooler temperatures remove moisture from the air, leaving deep blue skies. The park's animals also prepare for winter, and the elk, bison and other animals are more visible in the lower and more easily accessible areas.

Photographers Harvey and Kelsay have worked together since 1986 offering photography seminars and promoting tourism and conservation. They conduct workshops throughout the United States and in Central America and Asia. For more information, go to Nature Photography lessons and adventures in Yellowstone Park.
